4.2.2. Creation of Data Tables

LL-MAP requires that geographic location be expressed as a pair of latitude and longitude; it does not automatically geocode location expressed as descriptive text. Also, it offers the possibility of defining shapes and colors for markers for each language attribute. Therefore, it is enough to use only the ‘LanguageData’ table specifying pronunciation against geographic location from section 4.1.2. It is also possible to discard the ‘Location’ column as well, because the location is specified by the ‘Latitude’ and the ‘Longitude’ columns.

However, all four columns of the ‘LanguageData’ table are used in order to add a ‘Label’ feature as a separate layer to the map.
