After illustrating how to work with Simple Data this part of the companion website aims to show you how to treat complex matrices, how to format them so you can use them in SplitsTree4 and, subsequently, how to format them back into a readable format. Note that all matrices used in this chapter are completely fictitious and have no relation to real research data. Most numbers are chosen to depict certain characteristics and / or are completely random.
