At the end of Lynn Clark and Graeme Trousdale's chapter Using participant observation and social network analysis the following books are listed for further reading:

While Fettermann (2005) and Duranti (1997) focus on ethnography and provide much interesting information on participant observation, Hanneman and Riddle (2005) and Scott (2000) are primarily concerned with social network analysis and the issue of interpreting, storing and working with information gathered by using ethnographic methods and techniques.
