ESPAnet Germany

ESPAnet (The European Network for Social Policy Analysis) ist ein wissenschaftliches Netzwerk, das den Austausch und die Kooperation von Sozialpolitikforscher:innen in Europa fördert.

In vielen Ländern Europas haben sich nationale Ableger von ESPAnet entwickelt. Auch in Deutschland hat sich ESPAnet Germany als regionales Netzwerk etabliert. Getragen wird ESPAnet Germany von der interdisziplinären Kooperation der Sektion Sozialpolitik der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie (DGS) und des Arbeitskreises Wohlfahrtsstaatsforschung der Deutschen Vereinigung für Politikwissenschaft (DVPW). Aktuelle Kontaktpersonen sind Dr. Florian Blank (WSI Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftliches Institut), Prof. Dr. Katja Möhring (Universität Bamberg), Prof. Dr. Michaela Schulze (Hochschule der Bundesagentur für Arbeit) und Dr. Hannah Zagel (WZB Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung).

ESPAnet Germany folgt den grundsätzlichen Anliegen von ESPAnet Europe und setzt sich für die Förderung der Sichtbarkeit der Sozialpolitikforschung in Deutschland ein. Ein Fokus unserer Arbeit liegt auf der Unterstützung junger Forscher:innen in der Entwicklung ihrer Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse in der Sozialpolitikanalyse durch regelmäßige Veranstaltungen für Promovierende. Inhaltlicher Fokus sind die deutsche Sozialpolitik in vergleichender europäischer und globaler Perspektive sowie die internationale und supranationale Sozialpolitik in ihrer Bedeutung für die Sozialpolitik in Deutschland.
