Rural Settlement Dynamics in Medieval Cyprus

Am Donnerstag, 15.06. ab 16.15 Uhr wird Chrystalla Loizou von der Universität Zypern im Oberseminar der Historischen Geographien über das Thema "Rural Settlement Dynamics in Medieval Cyprus" sprechen.

Sie sind alle herzlich eingeladen, sich über die Themen der Studierenden und Promovierenden zu informieren, mitzudiskutieren oder Hinweise zu geben.

Kurzbeschreibung des Vortrags:

"The dynamic landscape of Cyprus constituted the ground of many diverse civilizations since antiquity. During the 12th century the island formed a province of Byzantine Empire, whilst Richard the Lion Heart’s conquest of Cyprus in 1191 marked the era of a long Latin domination. The aim is to elucidate the evolution of settlement pattern in the rural landscapes of Cyprus from the last decades of the Byzantine period to the end of Lusignan rule on the island (c. 12th – 15th A.D.)."

Der Vortrag findet im Raum Am Kranen 1, KR1/00.05 von 16.15 Uhr bis 17.45 Uhr statt. Eine vorherige Anmeldung zum  Vortrag ist nicht nötig.
