5.6 Recommendations for further study

Besides the four introductions discussed in detail, you may want to consider further introductions for R, for instance Crawley (2007), Dalgaard (2002), Good (2005) and Verzani (2005). Other books concerning the R language in general are Becker el al. (1988) and Venables & Ripley (2002). Consult Maindonald & Braun (2010) for more advanced techniques and Murrell (2006) for more specific information about graphics in R. In addition, the CRAN website mentioned in Section 2 offers a very good introduction to R (http://cran.r-project.org/).
