Back-Clipping

The OED online (s.v. clipping, n.² 2.c) defines clipping as “[t]he shortening of a word, etc.; also, the resulting shortened form.”. So back-clipping means that one or more syllables are cut from a word’s end, leaving the beginning as a shortened form. Hence, back-clipping is the opposite of aphesis.
