recall rate

Parent Previous Next

recall rate – the extent to which all legitimate readings are found in the output of the tagger (cf. Garside 1997: 121), or a measure of how many of the relevant tokens in the corpus are actually retrieved in a search (cf. Lindquist 2009: 44), counted as the number of relevant tokens retrieved by a query divided by the total number of relevant tokens in a text (corpus). Along with the precision rate, the recall rate is used to estimate the accuracy of automated tagging (cf. Baker 2006: 133) and of corpus queries.
