What is the Mentoring Network Oberfranken?

The Mentoring Network Upper Franconia is an association of mentoring managers at the universities of Bamberg, Bayreuth and the universities of Coburg and Hof. Meetings and events are held on a regional level, aimed at mentees and interested parties from the four Upper Franconian universities. The network is represented by:

  • Coburg University of Applied Sciences: Anna Keiderling (staff member of Project:ING) and Dr. Renate Lucke (staff member of the ResearchTransferCenter, mentoring program for female doctoral candidate)
  • Hof University of Applied Sciences: N.N.
  • University of Bamberg: Dr. Janina Dillig (advisor for the advancement of women), Caroline Oehlhorn (staff member of the career center of the faculty WIAI) and Franziska Paukner (staff member of the women's office of the faculty WIAI)
  • University of Bayreuth: Dr. Elena Köstner(staff member in the Gender Equality Service Center, Coordination of Coaching and Mentoring)

You face the challenges of everyday life in your professional and private life. Are you also wondering how to balance your life with role expectations, scientific career and the stress that comes with it? Let's use the expertise of an expert for tips and guidance on how to deal with these challenges in a healthy way and network during an active exchange for own experience and mutual inspiration with participants. Prof. Dr. Niko Kohls researches and teaches on Health Promotion with a focus on Resilience. In an impulse lecture and mini-workshop, he offers inspiration and guidance on the topics of stress management, resilience and quality of life. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for questions, discussion, exchange and networking. For: female scientists* (mentees, doctoral candidates, students, postdocs, habilitation candidates, female* professionals* from economy and interested parties) Format: The event will be held in German, live transcription into other languages is possible When: January 17, 2023, 7:45 to 9:00 p.m., online via ZOOM Registration: Register by January 12 The event is free of charge.
