Brief Biography
Rachael K. Kyalo is a Ph.D. candidate at the chair of Statistics and Econometrics at the University of Bamberg since October 2022, supported by a scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Taita Taveta University in Kenya and completed her master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), affiliated with Kwame Nkrumah University in Ghana. Her master's thesis, centered on epidemiology, specifically concentrates on mathematical modeling of infectious diseases in Africa. Following her master’s studies, Rachael contributed to academia as a Part-Time Lecturer at Taita Taveta University in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Physical Sciences, School of Science and Informatics. In her professional experience, she has worked with organizations such as ICRISAT, Stats4SD, and Dalberg Research.
