  • 2015 Organisation of a 14-day student excursion to the Comunitat Valenciana.

The "International Institute for Iberian Studies", which has been in existence since 2015 and is headed by the two directors Prof. Dr Hans-Ingo Radatz and Prof. Dr Vicent Martines, promotes an exchange between the Otto Friedrich University Bamberg and the Universitat d'Alacant with the overarching goal of internationality.

Aims of the Institute

  • Multilingual and multimedia digitisation of the most relevant European cultural, literary and scientific heritage based on translations and multidisciplinary studies.
  • Dissemination of knowledge about the classical works of the Crown of Aragon and their relationship with other languages and cultures and other literature in the field of Romance Studies. This includes research, expansion and renewal of studies and translations of these works.
  • Creating and disseminating an interactive environment for both education in technology and education through technology, in order to guarantee and improve a permanent and dynamic education.
  • Support for international doctoral studies 
  • Promoting exchange programmes of researchers from both universities
