Application and Requirements

Requirements - Who is eligible?

• Bachelor's degree (with at least 180 ECTS Credits) in a relevant academic field (application also possible during the final degree phase) or equivalent foreign degree with good or excellent marks (German equivalent 2.5 or better). 
• B2 proficiency in one or more of the following: Arabic, Persian, Turkish, or Hebrew
• English language C1 proficiency. Application without German language skills possible
• Passing the 20-minute aptitude interview (after formal application)

Application 

Please apply online on the website of the University of Bamberg. The application portal will be re-opened in midth of November.

Formal application on that platform will be followed by a 20-minute interview

There are no tuition fees at the University of Bamberg (only a small registration fee each semester)! 

Application deadline - When to apply?

Beginning of August for winter term 
Beginning of February for summer term

Visa applications might take very long, we suggest:

• apply as early as possible
• if necessary, plan to apply one semester before starting the programme and inform the coordinator (you will need a new letter of admission)
• get in touch with embassies early on

Enrolment

Enrolment procedures are handled by the University of Bamberg’s office of the registrar.

To apply, you need to:

• Fill out the online application form and print it
• Get authorized copies of all of your documents (Original documents must be provided upon enrolment at Bamberg but should not be sent via postal mail)
• Send your documents via postal mail to our Academic Registrar's Office:
