Our Profile

Our research and teaching is dedicated to the study of educational processes over the life span. We are particularly interested in the individual perspective, which focuses on the experience and behaviour of the individual in confrontation with different learning and educational contexts.

To answer these questions, we combine appropriate theoretical approaches with analytical procedures for longitudinal data and use large standardized data sets, first and foremost the data of the National Education Panel (NEPS). The activities of the professorship are therefore closely linked to the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories. (LIfBi).

The chair holder is also director of the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi).
