Prof. Dr. Sven Overhage
About the Person
Sven Overhage is a university professor and holds the Chair for Business Informatics, especially Industrial Information Systems at the Faculty of Business Informatics and Applied Informatics at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg. He studied Information Systems at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He then completed his doctorate and habilitation at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Augsburg. Prior to his appointment at the University of Bamberg, he held the W3 professorship for Business Administration, in particular Information Systems and Systems Engineering. He was also a lecturer at the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Liechtenstein. Sven Overhage is the author of more than 75 scientific publications in journals (e.g. DSS, IEEE TEM, BISE, EM), conference proceedings (e.g. ICIS, ECIS, WI) and edited volumes. He gained practical experience in numerous projects with industry, which he carried out in the course of his work at the university or as an independent consultant.
Research Interests
Sven Overhage's research and evaluation activities are primarily focused on innovative methods for the design, development, and operation of industrial information systems. His research interests particularly include service-oriented development methods, agile approaches, advanced analytics techniques, business process modeling approaches, as well as strategies for managing digital transformation.
