The german funding programme "Humanization of working life“, Humanisierung des Arbeitslebens (HdA), ran from 1974 to 1989 and supported more than 1600 projects from various industries. It dealt in various ways with problems in the conflict between technology and people in the world of work. We examine these relationships from the perspective of corporate history investigate the objectives, expectations and sustainability of the projects. Our current research projekt is funded by the Hans Böckler Fondation and has been running since October 2022.
