Career Paths after Graduation

Our topic in the winter term 2024/25 was the wide range of career opportunities after studying English.

We invited experts from very different professional fields to our informal meeting, including those who had studied English at the University of Bamberg:

  • Johanna Feist-Kassel, Senior Brand Communications Manager (Sports Industry)
  • Georg C. Scheiber, Partner in a Management Consultancy Firm
  • Dr. Inga Gerike, Library Director & Domain Expert

Our guests presented their very professions and provided information on their respective experiences on the job market – in Germany and internationally. They also reflected on the influences and experiences from their respective studies (BA, MA and PhD) and gave tips for entering the job market after completing a degree in the humanities. As always, everyone was able to ask questions directly during the discussion group, resulting in an extremely exciting and inspiring exchange. We (the representatives of the institute's student community and Dr. Nicole K. Konopka) want to express our gratitude to our experts and guests and hope to see everyone again next semester!
