Questions and answers about your economics studies

This is possible if you have alternative choices (it must therefore not be a compulsory module). For a change of examinations, it is sufficient to send an e-mail to the examination office in Bamberg with your matriculation number.

You can make such a switch as often as you have alternative choices.

The "swapped away" module can no longer be taken in your studies. You can register for a new exam (within your choosing options) within the next exam registration period.

Please note to apply for the change in time before the date of the examinination you do not want repeat (especially in case of third attempts). A change of examination on the day of the examination or afterward cannot be carried out!

You have passed a module, but you are not satisfied with the grading

You have the option to move the module to the "voluntary additional area" and to complete another module instead. This is, of course, only possible if you have alternative optiones (see module handbook). To postpone, simply send an e-mail to the Examination Office Bamberg with your matriculation number. After the successful postponement, you can register for a new exam within the next exam registration period.

The grades achieved in the voluntary additional subjects are not taken into account when determining the overall grade. A separate certificate is issued on the result of the additional examinations.

Such changes can be made as often as alternative choices are still open to you. However, (frequent) postponements may lead to an extension of your studies, as you will have to successfully complete an alternative module in any case. Also, of course, it is not guaranteed that you will get a better grade in this alternative exam.

Please also note the following points:

  • A postponed module cannot be taken again!
  • A transfer back to the regular Bachelor area is not possible!
  • The option described above is no longer open to you if you have completed all the required achievements (120 ECTS points)! In this case, the examination procedure is considered finished and the certificate is issued.
