Review: two outstanding events of the Institute of Economics
On two consecutive Thursdays, the Institute of Economics hosted two significant events:
On 04/27/23, the festive kick-off event "Systemic Risks and Socio-Economic Resilience: Perspectives from Academia and Practice" of the PhD program "Bounded Rationality, Heterogeneity and Network Effects", co-funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation, took place. On 05/04/23 the long-time German ambassador Dorothee Janetzke-Wenzel was a guest (see picture below right) and spoke about "Possibilities and limits of diplomacy". The audience was able to get a first-hand impression of her time as Commissioner for Africa Policy of the German Foreign Office and Ambassador to Hungary, Nigeria, Finland and Myanmar.
