Printing with campusprint under Ubuntu 22.04

Important notes:

In order to use the campusprint printing service, you must have a valid user account (BA number + password) and a student ID or service card.

Both for setting up campusprint and for printing with campusprint, your device must be connected to the data network of the University of Bamberg, for example directly via the university WLAN or using a VPN connection. Information on VPN at the University of Bamberg can be found at www.uni-bamberg.de/its/vpn.

These instructions refer to Ubuntu 22.04 and should therefore also be applicable to other distributions based on Debian.

Download the driver

First download the printer driver(4.2 MB) for the Konica Minolta bizhub C300i copier. Then unzip the driver package.

Installing the printer driver

sudo apt-get install smbclient
cd ~/Downloads/
cd "unpacked driver folder"
sudo perl install.pl

An installation menu opens as shown in Figure 1.

Confirm the installation folder in this window with Yes.

In the next window Select Filter files as shown in Figure 2, select the option KMbeuEmpPS.PL cups filter v2.5 (v2.5) and confirm with OK.
