The Welcome Center for international master students is a service facility specifically designed to help prospective and current international master students studying at the University of Bamberg. The Welcome Center is here to help you with your first steps at the University and the city. Before you arrival, we offer online information events on finding accommodation in Bamberg. We also offer online events on the academic structure at the University of Bamberg before each semester starts. If you have problems with finding accommodation, travelling or other more individual problems before you arrive in Bamberg, we hope to be your first point of contact. We therefore ask you to contact us as soon as you have received your admission to the university.

The services for international master students that were admitted to SAS include:

  • Support with local authorities (bank, citizens registration office)
  • Understanding and navigating German bureaucracy
  • Information about German language courses
  • Information sessions about finding accommodation in Bamberg
  • Organisation of the Tandem programme
  • Workshops about the Academic structure at the university
  • A first point of contact for all future questions and problems
