BaGBeM Ph.D. Candidate Tim Hagenhoff wins the Bundesbank Award 2017 for the best master's thesis in monetary macroeconomics at the Freie Universität Berlin

BaGBeM Ph.D. Candidate Tim Hagenhoff wins this year's Bundesbank Prize worth 1000€ for his master's thesis "Implementation of Optimal Monetary Policy in a New Keynesian Model under Heterogeneous Expectations"at the Freie Universität Berlin (FU Berlin).

His thesis deals with the question of how the central bank's optimal interest rate policy should look like assuming that economic agents have different and sometimes limited rational expectations concerning macroeconomic indicators. The master thesis was supervised by  Prof. Emanuel Gasteiger (FU Berlin) who has been successfully researching in the same research area for several years.
