Jonas Rieskamp

Jonas Rieskamp has been a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems, in particular AI Engineering in Companies at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg since March 2022.

He completed his Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in 2018. At the same time, he completed his training as an IT specialist for application development and as a software technology consultant. During his master's degree in business informatics at the University of Paderborn, he focused on the development and application of machine learning models in the field of computational linguistics. In his master's thesis, he developed two algorithms for generating context-dependent summaries of texts (cf. Alshomary, Rieskamp, & Wachsmuth 2022).

In his role as a project team member in the "PREVENT" project, Mr. Rieskamp develops measures to counteract digital disinformation campaigns. In addition to artificial intelligence methods, he also uses simulation methods such as agent-based modeling.

Jonas Rieskamp's research interests lie in the area of polarization on social media. He uses social media analytics and artificial intelligence to investigate social phenomena.

In teaching, Ms. Jonas Rieskamp supports both the Master's course "Research Project Digital Society and AI-based Systems ". He also supports the Bachelor's courses "AI Engineering in Companies" and "Digital Innovations in Companies". Mr. Rieskamp also supervises theses. Here he offers topic suggestions, but also supervises topic requests from students.
