I & M Paper
New Paper Alert 🤩
Professor Mirbabaie, together with his colleagues Julian Marx and Professor Ofir Turel, has published a new paper hat sheds light on the growing trend of digital detox as a self-control method to combat the negative effects of prolonged ICT use. 📱💻
The study addresses the current problems in the field caused by inconsistent terminology and mixed results by:
1️⃣ Introducing a clear and consolidated definition of digital detox.
2️⃣ Developing a theoretical framework for digital detox strategies.
3️⃣ Proposing a research agenda to guide future studies.
These contributions pave the way for systematic and comparable digital detox interventions. 🌱✨ Practitioners can also benefit by designing routines and policies to counteract the downsides of ICT use in work and private life.
