At Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia:
3D specialist Max Rahrig of University of Bamberg collaborated with a research team from Deakin University, led by Dr. Kaja Antlej, to develop 3D images of a 2009 Ford Falcon XR6 worked with. The 3D scan will be used to create a Virtual Reality (VR) pop-up museum experience during Geelong Design Week 2020. (01.12.2019 at Deakin University).
In March 2020 a small demonstration of the research results obtained so far took place in the CADET VR Lab at Deakin University. Information and photos can be found here.
A restored 1934 Ford coupe ute owned by Peter Emmett as designed by Lew Bandt and originally built by the Ford Motor Company in Geelong (photo: Kaja Antlej). The car was 3D scanned by Max Rahrig and Mathew Kanjirakattu George.
